Kingston General Hospital Redevelopment (2009-2012)

As the Building Envelope Consultant on the project, BTC’s role was to design an airtight and watertight envelope, both during and post-completion.  Our role included design review, air leakage and IR testing of roofs and curtain walls, quality assurance during installation of air/vapour barrier, glazing, waterproofing, roofing, siding, masonry and roofing. This project was particularly challenging to ensure fully airtight and watertight in new construction area, renovation areas and connections, often above occupied spaces in a cancer treatment centre.
